Remember what it was like when you were a child – to be lost in play with no concept of time. Surrounded by colorful objects, you were free to create anything you wanted. There was no judgement or inner-critic telling you it wasn’t right. You could experiment with building, coloring, arranging… Now imagine a space where you are surrounded by your favorite things, sites, sounds, smells, experiences. What are they? Why do you love them? What are you drawn to? What would you create? Start with a doodle of whatever comes to mind. Find a notebook and take just a few minutes a day to draw something. Experiment with different supplies. They don’t have to be expensive. They can be things you find around the house. You have always been an artist, you have just forgotten what it feels like. There is no right or wrong way, just your way.
